Fall in love with Vienna and let us share our favourite secrets of the city with you! The walking tour will initially take you through the historical center of Vienna. Let our experienced guides bring history back to life as they offer you a deeper look behind the monumental facades of this beautiful city!
First you will enjoy an exclusive visit to the Albertina Museum to see the world’s most famous rabbit – no, not Roger – but Dürer´s “The Hare”, and also the lesser-known, but stunningly splendid state rooms. The Albertina`s state rooms are one of the largest forgotten treasures in town, but definitely one of the most luxurious parts of the Imperial Palace – Hofburg! Weather permitting, we will stand on the balcony, which for hundreds of years was a privilege only afforded the imperial family and their guests. We will also have time to enjoy the beautiful gardens of the Hofburg palace! Remember to bring your camera so that you can take a picture of our local superstars, the Lipizzan horses, in their stables. Continue to the famous Café Central, of which Trotzki, Freud, Stefan Zweig and many others were regular patrons, then on to Minoritenkirche, where we have a special surprise if you have seen or read Dan Brown’s “The Da Vinci Code”! See Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” the way the artist intended! Back on Ringstraße you will be able to take a closer look at the City Hall, the University, and the National Theater, and finally Beethoven´s Pasqualatihaus, where he composed his only opera “Fidelio”.
Excellent way to get a crash course in Viennese History and a great view of the city!
Loved this informative tour and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vienna! Our extraordinary guide, Julia, shared a wealth of historical knowledge in an intriguing and enthusiastic way. She thoroughly explained the highlights at each stop and answered all of my questions-- I learned so much! I loved having her as our guide and can't say enough positive things about the experience she cultivated for our tour group. Following the tour she took time to provide city suggestions and I found myself enjoying her advice all day as I ate the best sacher torte in Vienna and enjoyed the atmosphere of a traditional Viennese cafe. Thanks Julia!
Free walking tour - Vienna - awesome!
Carolina was our guide and we had a great tour! She had wonderful facts to share, was lovely and fun to listen to as well. Our group was a bit dull, so this was impressive. We learned a lot about the history of Vienna and she made a few custom stops based on questions and requests. Highly recommend as an intro to the city!
Free walking tour is a must!
Julia was fantastic, really knows her stuff! Learnt so much about the history of Vienna and appreciated her sense of humour and making sure we all knew where we were going after the tour.
Don’t just take our word for it though, our walking tours are amongst the highest rated on TripAdvisor!
